CRATING

Quality crating should ensure your mounted trophies are firmly held in place, fur does not rub against any wood or supporting struts, and that the horns, if they are removable, are safely wrapped and secured. Space is the enemy when shipping! As little space as practical, needs to be used and there is a skill to crating efficiently.

Some wood is better than others for crating and better quality wood contributes to securing your cargo. Robust base structures and footers are essential to allow a forklift to pick up the crate safely. Some countries require wood to be compliant with certain standards for importation. If cargo is badly handled, damages, unfortunately, can occur. Obviously, the better the crating the more secure your trophies.
